Alirio Aguilera inherited his farm, San Isidro, and his coffee farming knowledge from his father. Over the years, he purchased small lots nearby which gradually increased the area of his farm to eight hectares. he won 1st place at the 2013 Colombia Cup of Excellence competition and in 2012 he received recognition in the state of Huila as an enterprising coffee producer.
